At Rebel Plants, we’re committed to reducing waste and promoting sustainability in an industry where discarded plants are often overlooked. That’s why we’ve partnered with Sarah Gerrard Jones, a.k.a. @theplantrescuer, to bring you Plant Rescue Boxes—an innovative way to give plants a second chance while supporting eco-conscious practices.
As the popularity of online plant shopping grows, so does the number of plants discarded for not meeting "perfect" standards. These might include plants with minor cosmetic damage, shipping scars, or signs of previous pest or cold stress—plants that are otherwise healthy and full of potential.
What’s Included?
Each box is a mystery and contains 2–4 plants. We promise exciting inclusions that will add variety and character to your collection.
We currently offer:
Houseplant Rescue Box. Each box is a mystery and contains 2-4 plants depending on the variety and condition.
Rare Orchid Rescue Box Each box is a mystery and contains 2–3 plants depending on the variety and condition.

Plants in these boxes are non-refundable due to their discounted condition.

Care Instructions:
Each plant will have unique care needs, but here are general tips:
Place in bright, indirect light. Keep the soil slightly moist.
High-humidity areas, such as kitchens, bathrooms, or spaces with humidifiers, are ideal. Allow the plant to settle for at least a week before repotting or pruning to minimize stress.

Our rescue boxes are created periodically as plants become available. Stock may vary, so check back often to grab yours.

Domestic Shipping Policy
All orders are sent on tracked services by Royal Mail.
Shipment processing time All orders are processed within 1-3 of business days. The transit time starts once you receive the dispatch email and tracking number.

Special delivery is available Monday to Friday. Orders with the special delivery placed by 12pm will be dispatched on the same day. Weekend orders with the special delivery option will be dispatched on Monday.

Local Pickup - Free
Choose the convenient local pick-up option for your shipment method and enjoy the benefit of not paying for shipping. Once you have placed your order with the local pick-up option, please await an email confirmation with your designated collection time and date. Upon receiving your order, we will contact you via email to provide detailed collection instructions.

To ensure a smooth collection process, we kindly request that you refrain from arriving without prior notice. This allows us sufficient time to prepare your order. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready for collection.

We are unable to ship to the Scottish Highlands, the Islands of Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Scilly Isles.
Once your parcel is delivered, we recommend opening it right away. Should any unexpected issues arise, please report them immediately to info@rebelplants.co.uk
Due to the perishable and delicate nature of plants, we do not accept returns except in cases of damage. Since every plant is unique and growth is seasonal, the plant you receive may differ slightly from the one pictured on our website.
We do accept returns on plant pots, accessories, vases, dried flowers, and plant prints. These items must be returned undamaged within 14 days of delivery. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and packaging. Once we receive the item in unused and undamaged condition, we will process your refund, excluding the original and return shipping costs.
If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Additionally, if your return brings your order total below the free shipping threshold, the standard shipping cost for your original purchase will be deducted from your refund.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. Claims for returns or refunds must be made within 7 days of receipt, and digital photos of the damaged item, box, and labels are required. We may request the return of the item to process your claim.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns for perishable goods (such as plants or flowers), custom products, personal care items, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please reach out if you have questions about your specific item. We also do not accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Customers are responsible for the proper care of their items; therefore, claims or returns cannot be accepted for mishandled products. Additionally, we do not accept claims or returns if plants have been repotted or pruned.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Choose options
Yes you’re getting an unknown slightly disheveled plant but it’s totally worth it. For the price of one plant I’ve three plants that are already starting to look so much healthier and happier. Can’t wait to see how they get on.
I would have loved the concept of saving unwanted orchids. However, they should still be in thriving condition. Of the 3 orchids I received, 1 was in very bad state and had so much root rot and needed to be repotted. True enough 70% of the roots are non-viable. The orchid will definitely not rebloom anytime soon given the extent of damage to the root system.
Secondly, the orchids I received are: Jiuhbao Vivien, Yellow "not-labelled" Phalaenopsis and Hybrid Paphiopedilum. The description of this product is "Rare Orchids", but I am inclined to believe the the Phalaenopis species given are common. In fact one can get better, cheaper, and less common orchids in the supermarket.
2 points worth noting:
1. plants should be in a healthy state
2. this should not be described as a box of rare orchids.
Our Rescue Box Program is designed for plant lovers who enjoy the rewarding experience of reviving and nurturing orchids that are no longer in perfect, flowering condition. If we only included flawless, blooming plants, it wouldn’t truly be a rescue box—and we’ve made that distinction clear in the programme description.Here’s a breakdown of the orchids you received: Paphiopedilum Hybrid – This pot contains three healthy, rooted plants without flowers. With care and patience, they’ll bloom again in the next flowering season. We usually sell this variety (even without flowers) for £21.99 on its own.Jiuhbao Vivien – A strong plant with two stems. One stem was accidentally broken, but the plant remains in excellent health with firm roots. The other stem still has flowers in bloom.Yellow Splash – This is not a dying plant. It has been cut back after flowering and would benefit from some extra TLC—such as repotting or fresh soil—exactly what our Rescue Box is designed to encourage.
These orchids are perfect for those who enjoy the process of helping plants thrive again, and we’re proud to offer them at great value. We're sorry to hear the box didn’t meet your expectations, but we hope this gives some helpful context about the purpose and nature of the Rescue Program.

My 3 beautiful plants had a few knocks but other than that they were really healthy...just like the sellers description so I was delighted. They were clearly labelled (so I didn't have to dig around online to find out what they were) and snugly packaged so they arrived in their best condition - I shall be back for more
First time ordering from Rebel Plants and first time ordering a rescue box. I was really impressed with the packaging and the orchids are also in perfect condition, one had finished blooming but the other one is still going. I thought the price was fair and i liked that it was a surprise.
