Ceropegia Woodii, String of Hearts, Trailing Houseplant

Light
Ceropegia woodii, commonly known as the String of Hearts, thrives in bright indirect light, making it an ideal choice for well-lit indoor spaces. However, a gentle touch of direct early morning or evening sunlight can significantly enhance the contrast and saturation of its leaves.

Water
Maintaining a balance in watering is crucial for the well-being of your String of Hearts. Allowing the soil to dry partially between two waterings is essential. You can easily determine the moisture level by conducting a simple test. Dip your finger (an inch) into the soil, if the soil is dry, it indicates the need for watering. However, if the soil retains slight dampness, it is advisable to postpone watering for a few more days. By following this method, you can effectively regulate the watering schedule and ensure the optimal growth of your String of Hearts.

Temperatures
String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii) flourishes in standard room temperature conditions, typically ranging between 18-24°C (64-75°F). This temperature range provides an ideal environment for the plant's growth and overall health.

Humidity
While the String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii) appreciates higher humidity levels, it generally adapts well to normal household conditions.

Ceropegia woodii is non-toxic to pets and humans, making it a safe choice for households with children and animals.

Air purifying : Yes

Soil: We recommend using Cacti and Succulents Soil mix.

How to Propagate String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii):

Propagating the String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii) can be accomplished through several methods. One simple and popular technique involves rooting the cuttings in water. To do this, take fresh cuttings and place them in water. Ensure that the cut ends are submerged. Over time, the cuttings will develop roots, and once the roots are well-established, they can be transferred to soil for further growth.

If you prefer to propagate directly in the soil, the process is similar. Take cuttings of a suitable length and place them in moist soil. Water the pot thoroughly and then maintain the soil slightly damp to promote root development.

Please note: Upon receiving a String of Hearts plant, it is crucial to handle it with care. The vines are usually coiled by the growers to protect them during transit. To prevent excessive vine loss, gently unfurl the coils and separate the vines around the pot. Give the coils a few days to hang undisturbed before continuing to delicately separate the vines. Although some leaf loss may occur, the plant's fast growth rate allows for quick regeneration. Remember to exercise patience and handle the plant gently to ensure the best outcome for your String of Hearts.
