Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, but too little light will prevent blooming.
If placed indoors, near a north or east-facing window is best.

Temperature: Clivia Miniata prefers cool to moderate temperatures. The ideal range is between 60-75°F (15-24°C). During winter, it can tolerate temperatures as low as 40°F (4°C) but should be protected from frost.

Watering: Water moderately during the growing season (spring and summer), allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering during the winter rest period, only watering sparingly when the soil is completely dry.
Ensure the pot has good drainage to avoid waterlogging, which can cause root rot.

Humidity: Clivia isn’t too fussy about humidity, but it prefers a moderate humidity level. Occasional misting can help in dry environments.

Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or orchid mix, or a standard potting soil mixed with sand or perlite.

Fertilizing: Fertilize every two to four weeks during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Do not fertilize during the dormant period in winter.

Repotting: Clivia prefers to be root-bound, so only repot every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes extremely pot-bound. Repot in spring, just after flowering, using a pot only one size larger than the current one.

Dormancy and Blooming: The plant needs a dormant period in late fall and early winter to encourage blooming. During this time move the plant to a cool location with minimal light. Water very sparingly. After 8-10 weeks of rest, bring the plant back into a warmer, brighter area and resume regular watering to encourage blooming.

Common Issues:
Yellowing leaves can indicate overwatering or exposure to direct sunlight. No blooms can occur if the plant doesn’t get enough light or the proper rest period.

We are unable to ship to the Scottish Highlands, the Islands of Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Scilly Isles.

Once your parcel is delivered, we recommend opening it right away. Should any unexpected issues arise, please report them immediately to info@rebelplants.co.uk
Due to the perishable and delicate nature of plants, we do not accept returns except in cases of damage. Since every plant is unique and growth is seasonal, the plant you receive may differ slightly from the one pictured on our website.

We do accept returns on plant pots, accessories, vases, dried flowers, and plant prints. These items must be returned undamaged within 14 days of delivery. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and packaging. Once we receive the item in unused and undamaged condition, we will process your refund, excluding the original and return shipping costs.

If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Additionally, if your return brings your order total below the free shipping threshold, the standard shipping cost for your original purchase will be deducted from your refund.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. Claims for returns or refunds must be made within 7 days of receipt, and digital photos of the damaged item, box, and labels are required. We may request the return of the item to process your claim.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns for perishable goods (such as plants or flowers), custom products, personal care items, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please reach out if you have questions about your specific item. We also do not accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Customers are responsible for the proper care of their items; therefore, claims or returns cannot be accepted for mishandled products. Additionally, we do not accept claims or returns if plants have been repotted or pruned.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
